Why people are dressed in the same ridiculous Halloween costumes?

Always some angel, always some Winnie the Pooh, always some cat or witch. Why not dressed as an engineer, doctor, lawyer, college professor, husband and father, or even a corrupt politician? Give some imagination, please! Engineer, easy: old necktie, slide ruler, rolls of big papers with projects and glasses. Can add a pipe. And look geeky. [No offense to professional engineers]

If they dress like a lawyer, doctor, professor…., would it be Halloween? I don’t think so. It would be more like a science party more than Halloween.
but I do agree with you that we need some creativity in dressing.

With all the political hype, I couldn’t help myself and I started to think what certain politicians should be for Halloween! or bill clinton and hav someone els go with as the lady he cheeted on hillary with!
for bill: get a suit jacket (u can get them cheap from second hand stores or goodwill) use makeup (any store or halloween store) to make wrinkles n grey hair dye n comb ur hair back so it looks thin… o n smile n wave a lot! talk in a big voice like ppl RLY RLY wanna hear wat ur saying!
for sarah: same stuff but get a womans suit instead of a man n buy a wig (halloween store) n make less wrinkles n talk in her accent… if u havnt heard it look her up on utube.

p.s. once my friend went as george washing ton n took a fake ax n got a wig n had fake wooden teeth!

im asking this again because nobody answered me before!!

okay i have this project for social studies where we have to dress up like somebody for black history month and talk about our lives. i am julia carson, a politician from indiana. i already have my costume but i dont know what to use for props!! Im not focusing on props abou julia carson ((but i will love some ideas for that)) i am more interested in finding props that politicians use. make sure its a househld item because its due tomorrow and i only learned about the props part this afternoon! Please give me some ideas for props. thanks so much!

Politicians don’t really have "props." You could make a bumper sticker and "vote for julia carson" signs out of construction paper and markers. Politicians usually use words to get out their messages, so if you want you could draw a HUGE mouth on a whole sheet of paper and cut it out, since lots of politicians have big mouths! Also make yourself a "vote for carson" button, even if it’s just paper taped onto your shirt.

I read an old post on here where a couple went as a dented car and a deer

black and white jail outfit, with an orange sign that says
DO NOT PASS GO
and don’t forget the whistle!!

OR – - – - -get ahold of alot of trophies, and maybe you can be OJ – - get a shirt that says "the juice is loose" and get some old trophies and hook it up

I am thinking about getting a black trash bag, and maskin taping GOT MILK on it, and thin painting my upper lip white
